80th Birthday Decoration

Whatever theme you have chosen for your 80th birthday theme will dictate what kind of decorations you should use.

If you are planning a reunion themed birthday party, you can use decorations that look vintage or old fashioned.  Tables can be covered with gingham checked or patchwork tablecloths and centerpieces can be made from fresh wildflowers in mason jars.  You can even accent your tables by using old aprons pinned to the tablecloths.

For the bookworm who is turning 80, you can decorate the birthday party area with books that the person enjoys.  You can also get a blank journal to have people sign as they come in for a remembrance and a great way to send out thank you cards.  The colors for this party should revolve around black and white.  Use these colors on your tables and try to get a vintage typewriter for the centerpiece.

The “Crazy 80’s Dinner Party” birthday theme can be centered around all different colors.  Hang streamers and balloons from the ceiling in assorted shapes and sizes.  Bright tablecloths with confetti and streamers in the center will make your tables very exciting.  The more bold the colors, the better for this 80th birthday party theme.

For the person who is young at heart, you can decorate with children’s party supplies.  Clowns, fire trucks, cartoon characters, whatever you can find that you think the guest of honor would like.  Top of this party theme with a big banner that says, “Young at Heart (Name) is 80 Years Young”.
